HGV Mechanic

Start Time: 0600
Vehicle: A Company Vehicle will be provided by Binn Group for business use.
Working Pattern: 0600 – 1600 + every Second Saturday
Remuneration: £35,500-£42,000 per year

Apprentice HGV Mechanic

The Binn Group was established in the 1990s by the MacGregor family, and in that time has expanded to be Scotland’s largest privately owned resource and waste management group. The group now has two sites, over 130 staff, and the full suite of waste management services.

Our offering:

  • Paid apprenticeship, depending on experience we will put you through an external apprenticeship course as well as learning on the job. We have a team of nurturing mechanics who with years of experience who will happily share with an interested apprentice.

Apprentice HGV Mechanic: Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting, observing and learning about cost effective major and minor mechanical repairs to Group fleet.
  • Assisting in preparing the fleet of HGV’s for MOT and regular inspections.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repairs of HGV vehicles
  • Comply with the requirements of a safe working environment following the H&S policy, IMS and applying safe working principles.

The Ideal Candidate….

  • Driving licence is desirable.
  • An interest in HGV vehicles
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Internal customer service focus.
